University of Tartu Scholarship for Ukraine

Scholarship description:
Ukrainian nationals who study in Estonia on the bases of the first or second level higher education curricula at the University of Tartu are eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to applicants studying on the bases of the first or second level higher education curricula at the university at the beginning of the semester when the scholarship is disbursed.

Number and amount of scholarships:

The maximum amount of one scholarship is 2,000 euros per semester. The amount and number of scholarships awarded each semester is decided by the scholarship committee and depends on the amount of money accumulated to the scholarship fund.

In order to apply for the scholarship, an electronic application is to be submitted which reveals the economic situation of the applicant and explains the reasons why the scholarship is needed. 

A letter of recommendation is not needed, this field in the electronic application can be ignored.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the economic situation and academic performance of applicants. In determining the amount of the scholarship, it is taken into account whether the applicant is working at the time of applying or receiving another scholarship or support. The scholarship committee has the right to acquire information on the applicants from the university’s information system.
