The 2021 Peeter Põld Scholarship
Scholarship description:
The aim of the Peeter Põld Scholarship is to enhance the recognition of the teaching profession in Estonia and support teacher training students in their studies and research.The scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Education and Research.
Number and size of scholarships:
One scholarship for 2000 euros.
Application requirements:
Teacher training students who excel in their studies and research and actively participate in development activities in the domain of pedagogy are eligible for the scholarship as from the eighth semester in the case of an integrated study programme and as from the second semester in the case of a master’s or doctoral level programme. All teacher training students of Estonian public universities may apply.
To apply, submit:
- an electronic application (through the Foundation’s web page) including an overview of the applicant’s activity in the field and social engagement, a letter of recommendation from a teaching staff member and a planned budget of expenses covered by the scholarship;
- an overview of the applicant’s research and development activity in the field of pedagogy and activities planned for promoting teacher training;
- a certificate attesting to the applicant’s study results.

The scholarship will be paid out after signing the contract with the University of Tartu Foundation.
