How do we thank our contributors?
By
donating, you help to support the students in continuing their education, bring
the strong academic legacy of researchers of the University of Tartu, and help
to shape the future of the University of Tartu and Estonia.
By making a donation, you can establish contacts
with talented students and outstanding researchers and secure your place in the
history of future generations and the University of Tartu.
- Disclosure
of the name of the contributor on the website
The names of all contributors
are disclosed on the website of the University of Tartu Foundation upon the
contributors’ consent.
- Named
professorship, scholarship, building, auditorium, or laboratory device
Creating
a named scholarship according to the donor's wish, opening a placard on a
building or in a room with the name of the person or company that supported the
repairs to a building or a room, naming a study room or a building according to
the donor's wish, placing a name plate with the information of the person or
the company that supported the purchase of an apparatus or a laboratory device
on the apparatus.
- Letter of
appreciation from the University of Tartu Foundation
A
letter of appreciation from the University of Tartu Foundation is given to
donors who donated 100–1,000 euros.
- Thanking
the contributors in a national daily newspaper
A
letter of appreciation is published once a year in a national daily newspaper
with the names of the donors and logos of the companies that donated more than
1,000 euros.
- Rewarding
with a letter of appreciation signed by the Rector
The
employees of the university, as well as the persons, institutions, and
organisations outside the university, are rewarded with a letter of
appreciation. A letter of appreciation signed by the Rector is awarded to those
who donated 1,000–10,000 euros.
- Acknowledgement
dinner for the contributors by the Rector
An annual acknowledgement dinner for the contributors who donated more than 1,000 euros.
- Rewarding
with a medal or a badge of honour of the university
The
medal of the University of Tartu is awarded to employees of the university who
have performed excellent work over the long-term and to people outside the
university who have great merit with regard to the university. Medals are
awarded to those who donated more than 10,000 euros. - Appointment
as an honorary member of the University of Tartu
Persons,
institutions, and organisations who have significantly contributed to the
achievement of the objective of the university specified in the Articles of
Association are appointed as honorary members of the University of Tartu, and
upon the provision of material contribution, the title of honorary member may
be given if the amount of the contribution is more than 250,000 euros.
